Instead of filling up my summer with trips to the beach and lazy afternoons in Central Park, I decided to put my acting muscles to work for two months at William Esper, where I can only describe as go to acting gym three times as week in the most fond way as possible. I learned so much during my time in this summer intensive program about myself as both a person and an actor. I've already seen a difference in the way I approach auditions, I'm less nervous because I'm only focused on the other person and what they're giving me! It's a freeing feeling. I made some great friends in the class and I'm bummed it's over but grateful for all I learned.
WORDS OF WISDOM FROM MY CLASS:
"It's not about what you want - it's about what you're getting."
"Don't sit on your impulses."
"Don't take anything for granted."
"You never know what you're going to get from the other person, that's what makes it exciting."
"What gets in your way becomes your way."
